The Journey™. Day 3. UBU.
Today we Shake. We went off to Ubu around 11am for our soundcheck, and met some super cool people. All the crew were super nice too, the engineers, the production and the management from 'a gauche de la lune' couldn't be any cooler.
After we finished the check, we met Pierinne and Jean Bernard (management and production) and they showed us the way to 'le Village'. We had a couple of cool interviews in which I'll upload a couple here as soon as I get my hands on them.

After our interviews we went off to the hotel and prepared for the gig in our own special way. Whoever knows us, knows that we love the rum...

Here are some shots of our performance. What a wicked night!
It was a good one, we loved it... After a weird interview with a local french tv station it was time to hop on the silver van again, this time with Kitsuné indie poppers We Have Band, and went off to Parc Expo to watch Cage the Elephant, Autokratz and Iglu & Hartly. What a night.. We hung out with the bass player of Cage the Elephant, who was quite a cool dude, even though he lost his band in the end and a lift to the hotel... I m sure he s in the UK now. Respect. Now we can sleep and go back to the rock in peace.

The journey™. Day 2

Ok, so we got up, day two, it's 8am and its pitch black... We get ourselves out of the bed and headed off to breakfast aka 'Le Fooding'. You could've chosen baguettes, cereal, croissants and yoghurts but we obviously chose the most thing thats greasy and non healthy. After 2 mins of eating we headed up to our room, packed and left to the airport again to catch the train for Rennes.
After about half an hour looking for the train station..(everything is in.. yep FRENCH) we finally found our train and hopped on for the 3 hr journey. Pretty painless when you have shitloads of dvds with you and a camera man from alter1fo.com as your 'neighbour'. (Have a look at the surprise interview below. Cheers Cedric)

We were greeted by a couple of people from Transmusicales, and they showed us where our hotel is, UBU (the place where we ll be playing) and gave us backstage passes and food tickets.. Life is sweet right now.
Our street. Mathematicien? Destiny.
After a shit meal at Cafe Noir, we headed straight to UBU to catch 2 of 3 acts who were pretty tight. (Strange but tight). Below you can see Micachu & the Shapes from the UK and Tim Exile from Berlin, (but when we were speaking to him he sounded pretty much English..) Kick ass show.

Tomorrow is crunch time. We've got a long day ahead of us so I'm off to get some rest. Speak to ya later.

The Journey™. Day 1
We're gonna try to keep you guys updated as much as we can.
We're off.
Two things we needed for the flight... A copy of Dazed & Confused (check out the band HeartsRevolution) and a DVD of A Cross the Universe. We're sorted for the first flight.
Finally a Hot Meal.
3 minutes later....
Possibly the worst bottled water in the whole galaxy.
Pit stop. We're in Frankfurt, and the airport is super huge.
It's so big that people who work there have silly looking bikes.
We wait, we buy some rum, we wait...
We made a friend whilst we were waiting there... Get us some oil!
Frankfurt / Paris. So short a flight that the hostess was still explaining where the emergency exits are when we landed.
Finally, we made it to our first Hotel.
We need a rest. Max Payne is on the list, hope its a good one...
See you later, Gnight.
